“THE PICASSOS OF OUR TIME”: BAYC Member BaviBull Adds A Second Trippy Fur Primate To His Collection, Calling Apes Oversold And Under Appreciated!

On Sunday, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member and avid Ape collector BaviBull added a second Trippy Fur primate to his collection, because he believes they are oversold and under appreciated.

“Added a second trippy @BoredApeYC,” he tweeted. “Rare apes & punks are the Picassos of our time! This will rip when nobody expects it.”

Bavi’s new primate is Bored Ape #820, a seven trait Trippy Fur Ape with a Vietnam era helmet, a guayabera shirt, and a bored unshaven face. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #820 is the 1,145th rarest primate around the swamp, according to OpenSea data.

 

This weekend’s pickup comes just a month after Bavi purchased Bored Ape #6410, a five trait Trippy Fur Ape with sad eyes and a sleeveless tee, for 25 ETH, or roughly $46,000 USD, kicking off a whole lot of buying for the notable collector.

 

"One thing people really don’t realize yet is that right now is the golden window to grab absolute grails like this for relatively cheap,” he told the paper at the time. “These pieces are going to be worth a fortune later. Just look at how the traditional collectible markets have exploded: Pokémon cards, sports cards, you name it. Even Yuga’s own CEO calls Bored Apes the “PSA 10 JPEGs.” Blue-chip NFTs, and especially the true grails, are going to be hunted for millions in the future. The smart move is to position yourself before the herd wakes up and piles back in. That’s exactly what I’m doing.”
