The Punks Vs. Apes Charity competition Has Raised Over $9K For The Riley Hospital For Children

The Punks Vs. Apes Charity Competition ends this Saturday and the donations from both sides are starting to add up.

At the time of this article’s publication CryptoPunks have raised $5,297.36 while Bored Apes have raised $3876.44 for the Riley Hospital for Children located in Indianapolis Indiana.

“I am feeling really great,” Punks Vs. Apes Charity Competition creator Ap3Father said when asked about participation so far. “The punks jumped up into the lead with 5200$ raised and we have crossed over $9000 in total. I am super ecstatic to surpass the 10k mark & I truly believe what we are doing here is going to serve as a good case study of how to run charitable contests alongside an event!”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, BAYC member Ap3Father, with the help of Magic Eden, is holding the first ever Punks Vs. Apes Charity competition. This contest pits two of the largest NFT communities against one another in a competition to see which group can raise more money for the Riley Hospital for Children.

“I’m a doctoral student for physiotherapy full time & I love working in pediatrics,” Ap3Father told the Bored Ape Gazette. “My university is very close with Riley hospital and I’ve been able to see first-hand how much they can change a child’s life. When I started to mature in web3, I started to realize all the good we could do with the lowered global barriers of transacting money. Vitalik's tweet about 'the apes not doing enough public good' hit home with me. And I think web3 as a whole could spend more time focused on progressing the public good.”

CryptoPunks, Bored Apes, and the crypto community at large can cast their vote and make a donation to the Riley Hospital for Children here:

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow this competition and will let you know which NFT projects wins!
