The state of the NFT market looks as strong as it has in years, as HV-MTL owner and avid NFT collector Adam Weitsman adds a rare XCOPY piece minted all the way back in 2019.

Another day, another grail. On Friday, Adam Weitsman announced that he had acquired an onchain artwork by XCOPY titled The State of Us (Blue) in an over the counter deal.

“Special thank you  @eli_schein, @XCOPYART,” Weitsman tweeted along with a Gif of the work depicting a doomscrolling figure staring at its phone in a dreary blue hellscape that feels more relevant today than it did back then!

Following Weitsman’s post, notable XCOPY collectors including Cozomo de’ Medici and Raoul Pal took to the comments to congratulate him on acquiring a true grail.

XCOPY originally minted The State of Us (Blue) on August 30, 2019, years before Bored Apes and the NFT boom of last cycle The artwork was released as an edition of 20 and originally minted for 0.16 ETH, or roughly $25 USD at the time, according to Etherscan.

This rare XCOPY pickup is just the latest grail Weitsman has added to his collection over the past few days.

As the Gazette previously reported, he has also acquired a 1/1 Rekt Guy, a one of a kind robot VeeFriend, over 100 Quirkies, and a Good Vibes Club VibeFoot.

The Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman and will keep you posted on what he adds to his collection next. Stay tuned for updates!
