This AIP Wants To Let Future Proposals Go Up For Vote Alongside Special Council Elections
Before the ApeCoin DAO casts its votes in this winter’s Special Council election next week, the DAO must decide whether it wants to let Ape Improvement Proposals go up for a vote alongside the Special Council elections or let the races stand alone.
AIP-372 titled ‘Enable AIP Voting During Elections,’ is a process proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Discourse Facilitator, CryptoLogically.
“AIP-138 Established the following during elections: ‘No other AIPs will go up for vote at this Weekly AIP Release, and all approved AIPs for vote will be released at the following Weekly AIP Release.’ This proposal would remove this requirement, thus enabling any AIP ready for vote during this (and any) period to be posted regardless of election cadence,” CryptoLogically wrote.
If AIP-372 is passed, AIPs that are ready to go up for a vote next week, as well as future AIPs ready for a vote during subsequent elections, will be allowed to do so.
“Each author deserves the opportunity to have their proposal put up for vote when ready,” CryptoLogically wrote. “AIP voting need not be purposefully delayed due to election season.”
The window to vote on AIP-372 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until next Wednesday, December 6th, to cast their coins and vote on this AIP.
