A trippy fur Bored Ape with punk rock vibes, deep BAYC lore, and ties to popstar Madonna was just scooped up by a self proclaimed “grail collector” who’s been steadily adding to his Yuga Labs bag for months!

On Monday, BAYC member TTony.Eth purchased Bored Ape #3756 from fellow BAYC member Kobrakao for 64 Eth or $265,000 USD.

Bored Ape #3756 is a seven-trait trippy fur primate with a multicolored grin, leather jacket, and S&M Hat. Based on these traits, it ranks as the 115th most rare Ape, according to Magic Eden.

“Feeling bittersweet, but really happy to land the ape in a true collector’s vault,” Kobrakao told the Gazette after the sale. “Still have two apes and never leaving the club.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, there’s plenty about this Ape to feel bittersweet about. Bored Ape #3756 isn’t just trippy and rare. It’s also been nicknamed the Madonna Ape by many, since BAYC member and pop icon Madonna wanted it badly back in 2022.

“I was hellbent on getting an Ape and really specific about what I wanted,” Madonna said in an interview with Variety in July 2022. “The Ape with a leather motorcycle cap on and multicolored teeth. I was told that it was inspired by me, and modeled after me, and it was bought by a woman who’s a fan of mine. She was gonna sell it to me, but it was way too expensive.”

While Madonna never secured this Ape, she did purchase a DMT primate instead, adding even more lore to this trippy fur primate!

Following today trippy transaction, TTony took to the timeline to intorudsce everyone to his latest ape acquisition tweeting “#新头像” which translates to “New Profile Pic.”

With this purchase, TTony now holds 12 Bored Apes, 19 Otherdeeds including 2 Center Island plots of land, a Mega Koda, and 10 HV-MTLs,

Many of TTony’s biggest pickups have come in recent months, attracting plenty of attention across Web3, including a viral post from WaleSwoosh about his $85,000 USD Center Island Otherdeed buy. At the time, TTony explained his strategy simply, he buys what he likes.

“I own several apes. I know that Otherside is about to go online. This island was worth 330e three years ago. I bought the golden apes and this land in order to have a good gaming experience in the near future. Because I like it, it's that simple. Let us witness  @CryptoGarga work.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow TTony and keep you posted on what he does next. Stay tuned for updates!
