Voyagers Will Get To Claim A Vessel That Transforms Into A Mara. Here's What You Need To Know:

Monday was anything but boring around the swamp as Yuga Labs revealed new information about its Otherside Legends of the Mara experience and announced an upcoming claim for Otherdeed Holders.

Two days after Voyagers returned home from the Second Trip to the Otherside, Yuga Labs released new information about its Otherside: Legends of the Mara 2D Standalone Experience.

“Introducing Legends of the Mara, a 2D experience with its own companion collection, “Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta Twitter account today. “Claim your Vessel, discover its potential, and forge your path. Otherdeeds with a Koda will be able to decouple in advance of the game launch.”

As Yuga Labs released a ton of information today, the first and most important take away for Voyagers is that they will be able to claim one “Vessel” for each Otherdeed they own.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, vessels were the things that flew over Curtis and Blue’s head during the final moments of the second trip on Saturday.

“Wow look Blue a meteor shower," Curtis said. "That looks beautiful. What? Oh, those are vessels? Here to save the day? Here to save me? Oh so many. Its beautiful."

The Vessels that Voyagers claim will have one of three randomly assigned functions to them; either they will be a Hunting, Farming, or Enchanting. type vessel. Voyagers will be able to start claiming these vessels in early April, according to Yuga Labs’ FAQ page.

After Voyagers claim their Vessels, the meteor will undergo an incubation period. After that, the Vessel will reveal a “Mara.”

“A Mara is an otherworldly creature that emerges from a Vessel," Yuga Labs wrote on its FAQ page. “They are nascent workers able to perform only simple tasks. The three different types of Mara that will emerge from the Vessels will match their Vessel’s role: Farmer, Hunter, or Enchanter. Maras will be ERC-721 tokens separate from Vessels, with a new contract/NFT collection. Maras will be able to be purchased and sold via trading platforms once they’ve emerged from their Vessels as a new collection.”
