'WHO'S STILL HERE?' And what does it mean?

Those are the questions around the timeline today after Beeple shared a mysterious black and red teaser video asking, "Who's Still Here?" before flashing the date 10/17, a date many community members believe could be connected to ApeFest 2026.

 

As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs shared six black-and-red ApeFest teasers over the span of six days last month, beginning with "10.17," followed by "USA," "COLLECTORS COLLECT," a seemingly blank clue, "2325,"and finally, "Members Only."

 

Taken together, those six clues and today's teaser have led many around the swamp to believe ApeFest 2026 will take place at Beeple Studios in Charleston, South Carolina, on October 17.

 

However, not everyone is convinced the clues point to ApeFest.

Some Apes believe the BAYC teasers and today's Beeple post are pointing towards an entirely different event, one that's separate from ApeFest 2026.

“My revised guess on all this… BAYC teasers were not for ApeFest This is a collector experience Members only,” BAYC Member Reaper tweeted. “No plus 1s (Beeple Studios couldn’t host thousands of Apes) US version of the Asia tour, basically Prove me wrong.”

 

Tonight, this is all speculation. No one knows whether today's teaser is pointing to ApeFest, another members only event, or something else entirely.

But, what we do know is that Yuga Labs says official conformation and answers are coming soon.

Last month, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge stopped by the club's Meet at the Clubhouse Space and told listeners that he and the team will be releasing the most thorough ApeFest document ever because, as he put it, ‘people need to know when that is and where that is.’

 

“There have been a lot of people in my replies and my DMs telling me about this event around the world where Apes are going to meet in one location,” he said in a facetious tone. “This is what people like to do. But I’m new to this. Ive only been CEO for a couple months, people need to explain to me how to communicate in Web3, im just learning , im new at this. The BAYC team, I told them there’s this meeting of Apes around the world in one location and people need to know when that is and where that is.And they all looked at my and went, oh that’s right. People do need to know that.”

 

 

Figge went on to say that he and the team will soon answer everyone's questions surrounding ApeFest and that the announcement will be extremely thorough.

 

“Its going to be so comprehensive that we won’t event need to talk about it,” he said. And that will be that.”
