WINNERS: Popil And Linstro Were Elected As The ApeCoin DAO's First MarComms Working Group Stewards!

Things were anything but boring at the ApeCoin DAO last night as the community elected Popil and Linstro as its first ever Marketing and Communications Working Group Stewards!

 

After weeks of campaigning, two rounds of voting, and non-stop politicking, 347 ApeCoin DAO contributors and subcommunities cast 39,068,000 $Ape in the DAO’s inaugural Marketing and Communications Working Group Steward election.

In the end, the community voted 23 million $Ape for Popil and 12 million $Ape for Linstro, declaring them the winners!

As the ApeCoin DAO’s first ever Marketing and Communications Working Group Stewards, Popil and Linstro will be asked to “propose a consistent and compelling brand strategy and identity for the ApeCoin DAO, propose and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies, and help establish a strong presence through effective global communication efforts in order to onboard more users into the DAO,” according to the Working Group’s charter.

 

Following their wins, the two Steward Elects took to Twitter and thanked their supporters.

 

“I'm excited to announce that I've received 23 million votes, securing the top position in ApeCoin Marketing & Communications,” Popil tweeted. “Thanks to every community member for your support. This honor belongs to the community! I'll officially start my new role in 2024 and eagerly anticipate becoming part of the @apecoinDAO family! I'm committed to making significant strides in community and IP development, promoting ApeCoin culture worldwide, and advancing the community ecosystem! Honor belongs to the community!”

 

Linstro echoed Popil’s excitement about the future with a video of the late great Kobe Bryant.

 

 

Following their wins last night, Popil and Linstro will officially begin their terms at Marketing and Communications Working Group Stewards on January 1st, 2024.

 

Once Popil and Linstro officially take office, the ApeCoin DAO’s Governance Working Group will give the MarComms Working Group a two-month operating budget to kickstart their committee.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the MarComms Working Group does not have a budget allocated to it so any additional funding the committee receives will need to be approved by a DAO wide vote.
