Xeer Was Elected As The Bored Ape Yacht Club's Community Council Co-Lead Last Night!

Longtime Bored ape Yacht Club member and Founder of the Singapore Ape Club, Xeer, was elected to be the BAYC Community Council’s Co-Lead last night!

Following a month-long election season filled with Spaces, Q&As, and campaigning, the BAYC community elected Xeer to be its BAYC Council Co-Lead and help steer the committee in 2024!

“Being surrounded by all you Apes this morning, I am filled with immense gratitude and humility as I take on the role of Co-Lead alongside Josh in the BAYC Council,” Xeer told the Gazette last night. “First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you who placed your trust in me during the election process. Your support and confidence mean the world to me, and I am deeply honored to have been chosen to serve on the Council. I want to also express my heartfelt appreciation to my fellow ape nominees (Phil, SeanNANA, Fud and Grateful) for their dedication and passion throughout this campaign. These past two weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions and hard work as we rallied the apes together in our own way. Your commitment to the betterment of our community is truly inspiring, and I look forward to collaborating and working with each of you as I take on this role. In addition, I would like to express my gratitude to my community of course, the Bored Ape Singapore Club and Xeerfam for their unwavering support. To the Malaysian apes, Elite apes in Hong Kong, Thai apes, Filipino BAYKada apes, Chinese apes, Japanese apes, Indian apes, Dubai apes, Bored Chili apes, and apes from all across the globe who placed your trust in me, I am truly humbled by your support and grateful for the opportunity to represent you on the Council. As we embark on 2nd Year of the BAYC Council, I am filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the future of our club. Collectively, we have the opportunity to shape the direction of BAYC. I firmly believe that our strength lies in our unity, and I am committed to listening to your voices, advocating for your interests, and working tirelessly to ensure that each and every ape in our community feels heard, valued, and empowered. In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire BAYC community for entrusting me with this responsibility. Thank you, and from the bottom of my heart. Apes together strong.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Xeer told the paper that he hopes to “cultivate transparent communication, encourage collaboration, and spearhead initiatives that enrich the BAYC experience for all members,” during his time on the Council.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Xeer, and the entire BAYC Council this year and will let you know what they do next. Stay tuned for updates!
