Yuga Labs' 'Apes Come Home' Otherside Events Are Happening On 2/29! Here's What You Need To Know:

Yuga Labs will be hosting a series of Apes Come Home ‘Otherside Encounters’ on February 29th that will invite Bored Ape Yacht Club members to play as their primates on Bored Ape Island, alongside their Voyagers frens!

On Wednesday, Yuga Labs shared a new video of a dazed Curtis passed out at the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s bar dreaming about Otherside, Apes, Voyagers, handshakes, Cameras, and possibly mystical Goats before abruptly waking up!

After Yuga Labs announced when Apes can come home is, the club explained that this event will differ from the company’s first and second trips to the Otherside.

“Apes Come Home is an experience which is part of our ongoing (renewed!) effort to demonstrate to you how we are evolving Otherside, and we're doing that by trying something new here,” Yuga Labs explained. “This experience will be largely unguided; meaning you, the player, will decide how to make your own fun. We want to encourage exploration and socialization, so we're going to give you some new tools to experiment with. We believe that the best experience is going to be one that the players control. We want to continue to take things in that direction and we’re hoping it resonates with you.”

 

Not only will Voyagers be able to explore Bored Ape Island at their own pace, they will also get to pick a time to venture to Otherside that works best for them, with the Asia Pacific event happening at 6 A.M. EST, the Europe event happening at 2 P.M. EST, and the North American event happening at 8 P.M. EST.

 

While BAYC members will be the only Voyagers who will get to explore Bored Ape Island as their JPEGs, Otherdeed Holders, Kodas, Mutant Apes, and G-Tags holders will also be invited to come along for the adventure!
