Yuga Labs CEO Garga Went Ape for Alpine at the Miami Grand Prix Today After the ApeCoin DAO Officially Partnered with the F1 Racing Team!

As Bored Ape Yacht Club members and ApeCoin DAO contributors filled the timeline with support for Alpine BWT, Yuga Labs CEO Garga left the club for a few hours to cheer on the Apes' new favorite Formula 1 racing team at the Miami Grand Prix!

After the ApeCoin DAO’s partnership with Formula One Racing Team Alpine BWT was announced on Friday, Garga decided to ape on over to the race on Sunday and cheer on the DAO’s new partner from the stands!

“gm,” he tweeted along with a photo of himself at the race. “Wasn’t gonna make it out originally but saw the DAO representing with @AlpineF1Team and had to come.”

While Garga watched IRL and $Apes suited up and cheered on the timeline, Alpine scored its first point of the season today, finishing 10th and 12th.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO approved an Ape Improvement Proposal to become an official sponsor of Alpine earlier this year.

With this partnership, ApeCoin will not only be prominently displayed on the team’s cars, as it was this weekend, but $Ape will also be integrated into Alpine’s Web3 strategy. Additionally, the partnership will launch ApeCoin-inspired merchandise and digital assets, create a loyalty program, host metaverse activations, and sell limited-edition Alpine X $Ape NFTs on ApeChain, among other initiatives.
