Yuga Labs' Gaming Council Lead Ian De Borja Said That The Company Will Periodically Change Who's On The Committee!

Gamers across the Yugaverse will have a chance to help shape Yuga Labs’ gaming endeavors throughout the year as the company plans to periodically rotate its Gaming Council to get more perspectives and opinions on its games from various holders around the swamp.

On Tuesday, Yuga Labs revealed the first 21 members of its Gaming Council complete with professional gamers like Orangie and TFG, Director’s of Vibes like Threadguy, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club members like TropoFarmer, among other notable primates!

So far, these 21 Apes have been testing Yuga Labs’ new Dookey Dash game, dubbed Dookey Dash Unclogged, providing their 2 Sats on it and assisting Yuga Labs in preparing to onboard the masses later this year!

“They have been providing non-stop feedback and recommendations from the second they got access to the test build and have been working closely with Yuga and Faraway to help us prioritize what needs to be tweaked and adjusted ahead of launch,” Yuga Labs’ Gaming Council Lead Ian De Borja told the Gazette.

Following Yuga Labs’ announcement of a Gaming Council today, Apes around the swamp began to wonder how they can be a part of this initiative going forward.

“There are a LOT of people who have asked to participate in this, obviously we're not going to be able to get to everyone,” De Borja told the paper. “But we do have a list of people who have reached out to be included in future iterations and will do so when the timing is right!”

De Borja went on to say that Yuga Labs’ Gaming Council will work differently than the BAYC’s community Council and that he and Yuga Labs plan to rotate the Gaming Council members to get more folks thoughts on the games.

“The Gaming Council will be run differently than the BAYC Community Council,” he said. “Rather than having a handful of Apes selected to be on the council for the entire year, we will be rotating people across the relevant Yuga communities (Dookey Dash Unclogged = Apes, LOTM/Otherside stuff = Kodas, Voyagers etc.) throughout the year to A) get more people involved and B) make sure we're getting the correct people in each test and feedback loop.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Yuga Labs’ Gaming Council and will keep you posted on whose on the bored throughout 2024. Stay tuned for updates!
