Yuga Labs Gaming Council Member Adam Hollander Explained How 'Golden Plungers' Will Work In Dookey Dash Unclogged:

As the Web3 world and beyond waits for Yuga Labs to release its new Dookey Dash Unclogged game later this year, Yuga Labs new Gaming Council Member, Adam Hollander, explained the importance of ‘golden plungers’ and how players can earn them once Curtis unclogs the toilet and the game comes out!

On Tuesday, Yuga Labs dropped a dookey of an announcement on the Yugaverse as it revealed that its popular endless runner game, Dookey Dash, will be relaunching as Dookey Dash Unclogged in quarter one of 2024 and that everyone in the world will be able to ape in and possibly win ‘legendary prizes!’

“Looks like Curtis needs to get the plunger out, there’s something in the toilet,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Gaming account today. “Dookey Dash Unclogged, coming Q1 2024. This time anyone can play.”

In order to win in Dookey Dash Unclogged, players will need to ‘race through the season pass’ and ‘win golden plungers’ according to Yuga Labs’ teaser trailer.

Following Yuga Labs’ simultaneous announcements of Dookey Dash Unclogged and its new Gaming Council earlier today, BAYC Community Council Member, Laura Rod,  held a quick space with several of the new Gaming Council members to talk all things gaming.

During Laura's space, Gaming Council Member Adam Hollander gave listeners an idea of Yuga Labs' plans to keep pro gamers and casual players engaged during Dookey Dash Unclogged and give everyone a chance to get a golden plunger and win some ‘legendary prizes.’"

“One of the very first questions that I started asking was around this concept of how do you simultaneously motivate the pro gamers to come and care and also not demotivate the tens of thousands of other people playing the game who have no hope of making it to the top places,” Hollander said. “I like the response that we got. They shared that there will be these items inside the game called golden plungers that essentially act like entry tickets into higher stakes tournaments. If you do extremely well inside of the game, then you will earn these in a guaranteed way. But there’s also going to be a subset of golden plungers that are given out in more of a randomized way to those that played and participated and earned inside of the game just based on continued engagement. That means that anyone who comes in and plays the game will have a shot at one of these valuable items. And if you win one and you’re not a particularly good gamer well it’s an NFT so you can go ahead and sell it to another gamer that maybe wants to participate in the higher stakes tournament.”

Hollander went on to say that Yuga Labs told the Gaming Council that a lot of thought went into this prize structure and that Yuga Labs is still tweaking it and may change aspects of this before launch.

“That feels like a pretty cool balance to me,” Hollander said. “When you play most games you don’t have any chance at winning digital collectible items that could be tradable on a secondary market for cash and in this case everyone will feel like they have a shot at that regardless at how good they are.”
