Yuga Labs Is Making A New Gaming Twitter Account, According To The Company's Social Media Director

Put some GGs in the chat for Yuga Labs' gaming updates because they're moving from the Bored Ape Yacht Club's official account to a new Twitter profile that's dedicated to all things gaming!

As season six of the HV-MTL Forge began last night, Yuga Labs’ Digital and Social Media Director, Ian De Borja, announced that the company would be moving these gaming updates to their own Twitter account soon.

“gm everyone - we were going to hold this until it was officially announced, but I want to give you all the heads up that we will be creating a new handle for Yuga gaming,” De Borja tweeted. “We always see and appreciate the feedback, and will be rolling this out soon.”

With this new gaming channel, De Borja promised that players would get more communication directly from Yuga Labs about the company’s games with updates on patches and outages along with gaming notes and much more!

Following De Borja’s announcement, the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Creative Director, Jeff Nicholas, took to Twitter and explained that this new gaming channel will not only be good for Yuga Labs’ gamers but also BAYC members.

“This may seem like a small thing to some, but it’s actually quite important for the Club,” he tweeted. “@BoredApeYC is MUCH more than the interactive mint experiences / mini games that have been launched to date. But those comms are intensive + tend to take over due to how frequently they are needed. So we’ll be separating them out. What does that mean? If you are participating in things like the HV-MTL gaming-based ecosystem, you’ll be able to get that info clearly in one place. And if you aren’t, you’ll be able to clearly understand what’s going on with BAYC/MAYC without it getting drowned out.”

Many longtime BAYC members agreed with Nicholas' take and thanked the company for making a dedicated space for gaming!

“BAYC is BAYC,” CapetainTrippy tweeted. “We are here for the community, fun, culture and fights. Not grinding games 24/7. Appreciate this change. Let the gamers get more frequent updates from their own Twitter and we keep being Apes.”

At the time of this article’s publication, Yuga Labs has not launched its new gaming account and there is no launch date for the new channel. The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Yuga Labs’ gaming endeavors and will let you know when and where you can find Yuga Labs’ gaming updates going forward. Stay tuned for updates!
