Yuga Labs Released A New Trailer For The Otherside Last Night. Here's What We Know And What We Saw:

Yuga Labs released a new teaser trailer for the Otherside metaverse late last night.

On Thursday September 1st, Yuga Labs took to Twitter and shared a new two-minute trailer of the company’s highly anticipated metaverse dubbed the Otherside.

“The story continues later this Q4,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account along with the trailer video.

It is unclear what Yuga Labs meant by "the story continues this Q4." This could be in reference to another Trip to the Otherside or something else.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the "First Trip" is just the beginning of an 11 part story known as the Voyagers Journey.

"We are inviting Otherdeed NFT holders along to participate in the Voyager’s Journey, a narrative gameplay experience that will introduce and educate players on the fundamentals of how to participate in Otherside," the Metaverse's litepaper stated. "Each major Stage of the Voyager’s Journey is marked on the Obelisk page and will be explained in more detail here. All Voyagers that complete each Stage of this experience in accordance with the rules will be eligible to receive additional incentives related to Otherside in the future. The section below will be continually updated with the official rules and stipulations to qualify completion and will be announced prior to the beginning of each Stage of the Voyager’s Journey."

further, while we still do not know what a Koda is, we do know that last night’s trailer is a prequel to The Otherside trailer that Yuga Labs released on March 18, 2022.

Yuga Labs also teased this prequel trailer to Otherdeed holders during the First Trip on July 16th, 2022.

Yuga Labs' new Otherside teaser trailer begins with a beam of light illuminating what looks like an ancient shrine or Hieroglyphic dedicated to the mystical begins known as Kodas.

The camera then zooms out and we see several red Kodas floating around what looks like illuminated images of various Otherdeeds. While we do not know why, there appears to be blue Kodas pointing up and red Kodas aiming down throughout these scenes.

The next scene begins with a close up shot of a Koda filling a jar with a potent essence.

The Koda in this scene is most likely "Blue;" the same Koda that guided Voyagers during the First Trip to the Otherside in July based on the being’s clothing.

After the Koda fills the jar, something goes wrong and a Chaos Otherdeed appears and begins to cause disarray.

Stones and pieces of the shrine and hieroglyphics are sucked into the black hole as the Koda desperately tries to get away.

Another Chaos Otherdeed then appears and the Koda loses his jar for a second but then quickly gets it back.

But as the Koda retrieved the potent concoction, he was sucked into another Chaos Otherdeed.

A burst of light occurs and the Koda is then seen crash landing through the clouds and towards the ground.

It may be important to note that after the Koda went through the Chaos Otherdeed, the writing on the jar changed from an unknown language to English.

The Koda crash lands into the middle of the swamp and a bolt of energy emanates through the everglades.

As the Koda regains consciousness, the creature sees the jar sinking into the water right in front of him.

As the jar sinks to the bottom of the swamp, The Doors' song, "Break on Through ( To The Other Side)," begins to play in the background as a fishing hook snagged the bottle.

The bottle is then brought back to the surface by the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s mascot, Curtis, who holds the bottle and wonders what he just caught.

This then brings the viewer to the beginning of the first Otherside trailer that Yuga Labs released back in March.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to cover the Otherside and will bring you more coverage of this trailer over the weekend! Stay tuned for updates!
