The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s always on merch store is set to open tomorrow, and while there will be plenty of essential pieces available for everyone, Apes may want to be first in line when the store’s digital doors officially open, because the club is selling a pair of hand signed, limited edition posters featuring Curtis!
Things are anything but boring around the swamp and beyond as everyone gets ready for the grand opening of the best club on the internet’s highly anticipated merch store this Wednesday.
“The new Bored Ape Yacht Club store is here, open year-round for the first time. Everyday classics, seasonal member-exclusive drops, and no more waiting for the next merch window,” the club tweeted. “Opens December 10th.”
To kick off the store with a bored bang, the BAYC is selling a pair of limited edition posters featuring the club’s mascot, Curtis, that will each be numbered and hand signed by the club’s lead illustrator, Chomps!
“Chomps is a beast, insanely talented,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted. “Been a massive part of crafting the world of the BAYC since the beginning.”
Tonight, we do not know how many posters will be available or what time the store will open for business. But we do know that the merch store will be filled with the brand’s new Essentials Collection, which is perfect for primates’ day to day wear, along with tokengated exclusives just for Apes!
“starting off with a "BAYC Essentials" collection - understated pieces, not limited-run plan is to reproduce any of the pieces from Essentials that people end up loving, so new members always have something to snag no matter when they join,” Garga said last week. “Some Essentials merch will be accessible to anybody (no token-gating) and some pieces will be exclusive + token-gated to members will supplement the Essentials drop with some seasonal, limited-run pieces too :).”
