A DOG AT THE DOJO: Adam Weitsman Burns One Of The Last Chimpers Diamond Fleeces, Revealing A Peaceful Pup!

A once fierce warrior turned peaceful pup has entered the Dojo after NFT collector Adam Weitsman burned one of the Chimpers’ final Diamond Fleece NFTs and revealed a new Genesis hero dubbed Shogun.

Since 2022, 98 of the Chimpverse’s heroes and villains have been revealed, and on Friday, another came forward as Weitsman went live on X with the team to make history and show his support for some of the space’s best builders.
“I’ve been totally in awe of what Chimpers has done,” Wetisman said. “I think you guys are one of the best teams in the whole space… and I just thought this would be the perfect time.”
Over the two hour space, Weitsman chatted about the lore, the history, and all things Chimp with the project’s founders, InsightChimp, Joey, and Timpers, before burning the Diamond Fleece and revealing a puppy looking primate named Shogun that has quite the backstory.
“During the dark war they were notorious for their ruthless defence and guerrilla war strategy that shattered every attempted invasion,” Chimpers wrote in his about. “After the great war, they never became embroiled in another conflict. Now, the general is renowned for his peaceful and welcoming nature to all those who cross paths with him.”
As the Gazette previously reported, the Diamond Fleece NFTs were originally airdropped to full set holders of the Chimpers’ Boring Ape Chronicles series. It was later revealed that holders could burn them in exchange for a Chimpers Genesis NFT and make their mark on the project’s history.
While all Chimpers Genesis NFTs are unique, Shogun is extra special because he is the first, and only, dog in the entire collection.
