A RARE RIP: DYLI Is Raffling A 1999 Pokémon Jungle Booster Pack For A Buck!

The year is 1999. You’re at Toys “R” Us staring at a wall of Pokémon packs, each one costing three or four dollars. Mom says you can get one. You pick the pack with Scyther on the front.

Inside, you find two energy cards, five commons, three uncommons, and something rare. Little did you know those cards could one day be worth what the average American makes in a month. Crazy times with the original NFTs.
As Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary this month, collectible marketplace DYLI is rolling back the nostalgia clock, raffling a sealed 1999 Jungle Booster Pack for just a buck.
"This is part of our Fair Drops system, which you can think of as a raffle or lottery,” DYLI CEO Alex Needelman told the Gazette. “It’s designed so collectors can get a low-cost spot into limited items without worrying about bots instantly selling things out. We’ve been seeing a lot of traction on $1 fair drops, and we also just opened it up so anyone can run their own fair drops directly from items in their collection on the platform, which users have been loving so far.”
This same pack sold just yesterday on eBay for $250 plus shipping. And while nothing is confirmed, this DYLI pack could contain a holographic Snorlax that’s been lying dormant for nearly three decades.

At the time of publication, 290 raffle tickets had already been purchased, and collectors have until 1 P.M. EST this Thursday to get in on the action. For more information on the drop, or to grab a ticket, collectors can visit DYLI’s marketplace here: https://www.dyli.io/explore?fair=true
