A STICKER SITUATION: The BAYC’s First Telegram Sticker Pack Drops Tomorrow And Everyones Invited To Ape In!

Go Telegram it on the mountain! Sticker season begins around the swamp tomorrow, and everyone’s invited to ape in and try to pick up a pack!
On Thursday, the Bored Ape Yacht Club announced that it will be selling a new kind of NFT on Telegram, dubbed stickers, which live on the TON blockchain! These collectibles aren’t just for flexing, they also come with emote utility inside the billion plus user messaging app.
“The Bored Ape Originals sticker pack drops tomorrow,” the club posted. “Join the BAYC telegram https://t.me/OfficialBAYC”
At this time, we don’t know much about the BAYC’s first sticker pack, but it appears to feature 10 different pieces, each with its own emote style and personality.
Following the Club’s announcement, Yuga Labs CEO Garga said that tomorrow’s drop will be first come, first served because Telegram doesn’t support whitelisting or allowlisting yet. He also added that this should be seen as a test of new tech and a way to grow the Bored Ape brand.
“There’s no gate/whitelist function yet on TG sticker store, it’s still early days,” he explained. “Pushing them hard for that for the future, and will look at adding a presale window or even just doing a BAYC/MAYC exclusive pack when that’s available. For now following all the best practices as what Pudgy, Azuki etc have done on the platform. This is about growing our reach.”
If tomorrow’s BAYC drop is anything like the Pudgy Penguins, Azuki, or Calynosaurz sticker drops, these packs will be gone in seconds. As of now, we still don’t know how much the packs will cost, how many will be available, or what time the drop will happen. Yuga Labs is expected to release more details tomorrow, according to Mr. Eth.
