2024 will be anything but boring in the $Ape ecosystem after the A-Team announced that they will be moving forward with their ‘Made By Apes ApeChain' regardless of how the DAO votes later this evening.
With the vote to determine who will build the ApeCoin DAO's ApeChain ending tonight , Lumberg from the A-Team group told the Gazette that he and his team, which includes MachiBigBrother, plan to build their ApeChain for the community no matter what.
“We’ve moved on from the Apechain proposal and are now building a Made by Apes Apechain,” he said. “Feel free to quote that.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Lumberg, MachiBigBrother, and their A-Team believe that the ApeCoin DAO should build its Apechain via Optimism, issue a new ApeChain Governance Token, and join the foundation’s Superchain.
"Optimism is the leading choice for the A-Team to deploy ApeChain, as part of the Optimism Superchain ecosystem,” Lumberg wrote. “This will align and expand ApeChain into a large community of developers and users who believe in user protection, decentralization, and economic autonomy. In addition, the team has a vision of contributing toward the growth of the Ethereum ecosystem by becoming core contributors in the Optimism Foundation.”
