AIP-77: This AIP Would Establish An Official ApeCoin DAO Discord If Passed. Find Out More.

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that, if passed, would establish an official ApeCoin DAO Discord channel.

AIP-77 titled “To set up an APE Coin Discord Channel,” is a brand decision proposal by wAPEd.

“There is no real place for the community of holders at the moment, and it’s extremely important to build a SM space for $APE holders,” wAPEd wrote in their proposal. “One central place will ensure more convenient coordination, spread of ideas and increase of $APE value.”

In total wAPEd is asking the DAO to allocate 78,000 $Ape ($304,980 USD at the time of this article’s publication) per year to cover the cost of the channel.

If passed, wAPEd estimates that the ApeCoin DAO would have an official Discord Channel up and running in two weeks, according to their proposal.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the idea of an official ApeCoin DAO discord has been discussed around the swamp since at least June 2nd when Bored Ape Yacht Club member Capetain Trippy told the ApeCoin DAO that the community needs a Discord during a townhall event.

The window to vote on AIP-77 opens tonight at 9 P.M. EST. $Ape holders will have until Wednesday December 7th to cast their votes.
