APE IN AND STAY A WHILE: The Bored Ape Yacht Club Celebrates Five Years Onchain With A New Fold Out Chair Emote On The Otherside!

Ape in and stay a while!

Turn up the lo-fi beats and kick back around the swamp! The Bored Ape Yacht Club is celebrating five years onchain with a new chair emote that lets holders quite literally take a seat anywhere on the Otherside and soak it all in.

 

“Pull up a chair. A new emote just landed in @othersidemeta,” Yuga Labs tweeted from the BAYC account. “If you hold a BAYC or MAYC, it’s live now - head to your profile, open the Avatar tab, and add it to your emote wheel.”

 

 

And just like that, the chairs are out, and primates everywhere are pulling up and just being Bored Apes.

Some, like Illen, posted up right outside the Clubhouse to take in the views of the swamp.

“chillin', pontificating the mysteries of the metaverse...,” he tweeted.

 

And others headed over to the Nexus to hang out at the  Starfield Gallery and marvel at the Arsham aesthetic on display!

 

"Just a bunch of apes lounging in the gallery,” The Phalangist tweeted. “BEST EMOTE YET!!!”

While these lawn chairs may have just been rolled out today, chilling around the swamp in a foldout has been the vibe since the club’s earliest days.

The BAYC’s always on lo-fi hip hop radio station, running since day one, features Curtis and his pup Gary fishing off the dock in a lawn chair, just living life!

And four years ago, Curtis literally fell out of his lawn chair when he drank a potent Koda elixir and first made his way to the Otherside.

 

Tonight, BAYC and MAYC members are all invited to head over to the Otherside and just relax, because they’re in the best club on the internet.

“Membership has its privileges,” Yuga Labs’ James Hall simply said.
