ApeFest 2023 will be a year of firsts for the Bored Ape Yacht Club as it's not only the first ApeFest happening outside the United States but also the first ApeFest that will incorporate an Otherside component.
After Yuga Labs' Otherside General Manager, Eric Reid, announced that the company would be hosting an ApeFest event from Otherside last month, Reid took to Twitter this evening and provided the community with more details on this new experience.
“Excited to bring the next Otherside Test Group event to ApeFest HK,” Reid tweeted. “Working on a way to enable those attending the ApeFest Global Community Events to participate - everyone else will be able to follow along on a livestream. Once we run this test at ApeFest, we’re going to bring the experience to a worldwide audience for everyone to jump in on the fun. More to come at ApeFest.”
Following Reid’s post, Yuga Labs’ Digital and Social Media Director, Ian De Borja, took to the comment section and explained that the ‘ApeFest Global Community Events’ Reid referred to in his posts are the events that Yuga Labs is funding via the BAYC Community Council.
Further, De Borja told the BAYC community that Yuga Labs will be releasing more information on how Apes can attend the company’s Hong Kong Otherside test event ‘later.’
