BACK TO BAYC-ICS: Garga Teases A Minimalist Redesign Of The BAYC Website!

From anything but boring to back to BAYC-ics, Yuga Labs CEO Garga is changing up the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s website in hopes of transforming it from a packed page into a minimalist masterpiece!

“Worked on vibecoding a redesign of the BAYC site last night,” Garga tweeted on Friday. “Miss the days of dumb-simple websites like a fuck-you level of minimalism, no scrolling old site was simple (http://og.boredapeyachtclub.com) current one (http://bayc.com) is ... way too much anyway - very work-in-progress.”

 

Garga also shared a screenshot of the work in progress site. The page centers around a simple “BAYC” wordmark, with links to the store, clubhouse, and members page at the top, a short no frills explainer near the bottom, and a link to purchase a primate!

 

Over the years, the BAYC website has gone through its share of changes.

Back in 2021, the original site featured an animated introduction to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, a rebuke of bonding-curve style NFT mints, the Bathroom wall, and the OG roadmap, with items like the founders paying back their moms and merch on the agenda. Simpler times.

 

Then in January 2024, the club launched a major update, filling the site with community resources, ecosystem information, and collectibles and history from around the swamp.
