Baltimore Ravens Cornerback, Marlon Humphrey Aped Into The BAYC

Earlier this week, the Bored Ape Yacht Club had another National Football League player ape in.

Baltimore Ravens Cornerback, Marlon Humphrey, changed his Twitter profile photo to a Bored Ape #1880 on Wednesday.

“#NewProfilePic,” the Ravens player tweeted along with a photo of his bored ape.

Bored Ape #1880 is a six trait dark brown fur bored ape with a safari hat, a work vest and scumbag eyes. Humphrey purchased Bored Ape #1880 for 47.9 Eth or roughly $177,000 USD.

After the purchase, bored apes were quick to welcome the NFL player to the club. “So glad to have you onboard fellow Ape,” BAYC member Bb8pe tweeted. “Welcome to the rest of life in the metaverse!”

While bored apes were excited to have Humphrey ape in and join the BAYC, it seemed that many Raven fans were perplexed by the cornerbacks profile photo.

“The comments are full of people I never want to meet,” bennettdecker2 tweeted in response to Humphrey’s purchase.

After Humphrey changed his Twitter profile photo, Bored Ape #1880’s old owner, BAYC member Cam Secore, congratulated the NFL player on the purchase. “Planned to keep this ape forever," Secore tweeted. “But the price increased by 20x in two months, which didn't give me much of a choice. I'm glad he's still in good hands. Take care of him.”

Humphrey is just the latest NFL player to ape into the BAYC. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Dez Bryant, Von Miller, Brandon Stokley, Tyler Polumbus, and Brandon Mcmanus have all joined the club.
