Yesterday, Crypto Twitter Celebrity @Beaniemaxi, known as Beanie online, made waves as he changed his iconic profile photo from a CryptoPunk to a Bored Ape.
Beanie’s Ape is a number 5860, according to Opensea. Ape 5860 is a 5 trait bored ape sporting a nifty spinner hat, bloodshot eyes and a cigarette in his mouth, according to rarity tools.
“ I have never been at war With Bored Apes,” Beanie tweeted in response to one user. “Never a negative comment in history from me about the project. I have been watching attentively from Day 1 from the sidelines. Better late than never!”
Bored Apes from around the world welcomed Beanie with open arms and were quite pleased to see him change his profile picture.
“Finally,” Boring Bored Ape (@Ape6743) tweeted. “This made my day.”
Beanie's profile photo change wasn’t the only bullish news coming from him regarding the Bored Ape Yacht Club. The day before, Beanie announced that issue number two of the @punkscomic would be Apes instead of Meebits.
“I can say that issue 2 of @punkscomic was supposed to be Meetbits and now it is Bored Apes,” Beanie Tweeted. “ I can also say that I have personally a big Meebits bag and don’t own any Bored Apes (yet) so that decision to go with Bored Apes is completely unbiased and must reflect positively on BAYC.”
