From the shitter to scared shitless, spooky season is coming early to the Otherside after Command Line announced its new Thornwood Ruins map, along with an all new free for all mode that looks like it plays a lot like Fortnite’s classic Battle Royale.

“NEW BLITZ map incoming on @OthersideMeta-THORNWOOD RUINS,” the company tweeted along with. A 37 second teaser trailer. “Free For All. Close Quarters Chaos. Double Jump and Slide …and a new weapon built for these haunted ruins. THURSDAY, MARCH 19 at 1 PM PST / 4PM EST.”
This new Thornwood Ruins map appears to be inspired by the Thornwood Otherdeeds, based on the game’s gloomy atmosphere, aesthetics, and, of course, its name.
While nothing about this new location is confirmed yet, it appears that the gameplay may center around an old castle that could have once been home to Kodas.
As the Gazette previously reported, Command Line’s Bathroom Blitz was the first game developed and launched on Otherside by a third party using Yuga Labs’ Otherside Development Kit. These are the same tools every Otherdeed holder is expected to eventually have access to, making Blitz a real proof of concept for Yuga Labs’ vision of a user generated metaverse.
