A major beverage company spilled some tea on twitter and announced that they are the first major brand to join the Bored Ape yacht Club.
“BIG NEWS, ZONIE'S! AriZona APED into the @BoredApeYC,” the company tweeted Friday afternoon. “We're stoked to introduce our Bored Ape #NFT & have some huge things planned! Shout out to @BoredApeComic & check out http://BoredApeComic.com Issue #1 for a huge surprise reveal. #NFTcommunity #BAYC #BoredApeYC #NFT.”
Arizona Iced Tea’s tweet was accompanied with a graphic featuring the brand’s ape, and a logo that said the company has aped into the club.
Arizona Iced Tea’s bored ape is Bored Ape #8228. Bored Ape #8228 is a five trait black fur ape with wild eyes, an unshaven mouth and a leather jacket.
After the company’s announcement, BAYC members quickly went to the comments to welcome the iced tea company.
"Wait like... For real,” BAYC member Mr. BAYC asked. “What is life. Welcome to the club. :) - please make yourselves comfortable and ape with us!”
While there is no information on what, if anything, the company plans to do with their ape the brand did interact with several BAYC members about possible flavors and can designs.
