Seven months after the stalls at the swamp shut down, Blitz is back on Otherside with an all new free for all game mode, a spooky Koda temple map, and more on the way!

On Thursday, gaming studio Command Line launched Blitz: Thornwood Ruins, inviting anyone and everyone to shoot it out and explore a spooky new corner of the metaverse.
Whether you played Command Line’s original Bathroom Blitz last year or are jumping in for the first time, Thornwood Ruins is built to be fun not just for Apes, but for everyone.

“The original bathroom map was designed to pay homage to the original BAYC Bathroom and was more of an art piece full of Easter eggs and content for the BAYC community,” Command Line Founder and longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member CryptoVonDoom said. The new maps are designed as balanced competitive gaming maps with Otherside flair.”
With that broader, not boreder, focus, Thornwood Ruins features a new UI, improved graphics and performance, and added social features that enhance the experience. According to VonDoom, players have been loving the update so far.
As the Gazette previously reported, Command Line’s Blitz is the first game developed and launched on Otherside by a third party using Yuga Labs’ Otherside Development Kit. These are the same tools every Otherdeed holder is expected to eventually have access to, making Blitz a real proof of concept for Yuga Labs’ vision of a user generated metaverse.
Over the next two weeks, ApeCoin is slated to host several “Ruined in Thornwood” tournaments and events with a variety of prizes, and everyone is invited to join in. For more information, check out ApeCoin’s event calendar here: https://othersidecalendar.apechain.com
