Bored Ape Yacht Club Club Members Can Now Ape Into The Bored-Room And Invest In Startups With Apes Capital. Here's What you Need To Know:

Bored Ape Yacht Club members will finally have a seat in the 'Bored-room' thanks to Ape+'s new venture capital arm, Apes Capital, that will give community members the chance to ape into the same startups as VC  firms!

Things were anything but boring around the swamp on Monday as the team behind the club’s community-led airdrop procurer, Apes+, announced that they have teamed up with Based VC Fund to create their new Apes Capital initiative!

“Our mission is simple: provide BAYC holders with an opportunity to invest in leading web3 projects on the same deal terms as the world's leading venture capital funds,” the Apes Capital team wrote on their website. “No more buying from exchanges and being used as exit liquidity. It's time to level the playing field and make venture capital accessible for all. We have deployed over 40M USD of capital and have invested in over 20+ projects including recent investments such as Midnight Society, Shrapnel, Nillion, Heroes of Mavia, Supraoracles, Portal, and more. We are a licensed British Virgin Islands venture capital fund that is insured, with a trusted and experienced team that has over 20 years of expertise in investing and managing funds. We thank you for allowing us to join you on your investment journey.”

In order to participate in Apes Capital, you must first be either a BAYC or MAYC member and not have your Ape listed for sale on any exchanges. Second, BAYC members will need to stake 2,500 $Ape for 90 days, and MAYC members will need to stake 500 $Ape for 90 days on Apes Capital’s platform to be eligible to invest in startup opportunities. From there, Bored Apes will be able to invest up to $5,000 USD, and Mutants will be able to invest up to $1,000 USD in each startup opportunity, according to the platform.

At the time of this article’s publication, there are no investment opportunities for primates to ape into yet. However, Apes Capital’s Co-Founder, DareVader, mentioned that they will soon list some.

“We have deals lined up and we’ll be releasing information soon once there’s a a bit more familiarity,” he said.
