A longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member put on a hoodie today and is feeling very comfy in his bag after adding a hoodie wearing CryptoPunk to his collection that he plans to hold onto for years to come!

On Friday, BAYC member LostWisdom gained his first CryptoPunk after years of searching for the ‘right one’ , purchasing CryptoPunk #3619 for 215 Eth or $625,700 USD.

CryptoPunk #3619 is a three attribute male Punk with an eye patch, a chinstrap beard, and a hoodie. Based on these traits, CrypoPunk #3619 is the 3621st most punk CryptoPunk in the collection, according to Rarity Sniper.

 

Following his purchase, LostWisdom shared some wise wo on the timeline explaining why he decided to purchase this punk.

 

“Today I bought a hoodie punk,” he wrote. “This is a very special day for me because the CryptoPunks collection has always brought out strong emotions in me. I believe that Punks are undoubtedly the grail in the NFT space, and all other collections owe them. I had been looking at punks for a long time and couldn't choose the right one. But yesterday I saw it... it was CryptoPunk #3619, and it immediately caught my eye. Thanks to @malcode_eth for giving me a small discount, but 215E is a very serious amount even for me, and I thought about it for a whole day before hitting the "Buy" button... But it happened! After years of admiring this collection, I finally became the proud owner of a  @cryptopunksnfts. There can be endless debates about the future of NFTs on ETH, CryptoPunks, and Yuga Labs as a whole (hi @beaniemaxi), but I believe that punks are the one collection that will live on for decades, and one day our descendants will admire them in museums. This isn't about a quick flip; such grails need to be cherished and passed down as a legacy.
