Bored Ape Yacht Club member Vis.Eth has been purchasing rare Otherdeeds for weeks and explained the why behind his buys earlier today.
Vis.eth has spent over 4500 Eth or $9,000,000 USD on rare Otherdeeds since Yuga Labs released the Otherside project on April 30th 2022.
“I’m holding 2 Obelisks, 40 Kodas(including 3 Megas), 8 central islands, 9 chaos lands and a few BAYC/MAYC lands, cost over 4500 ETH,” Vis.eth tweeted in a nine part thread earlier today.
Vis.eth explained that his buying has been because of anonymous founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
“Jan 3, 2009, since Satoshi dug up the first block, this world was changed,” Vis.eth tweeted. “In the past 12 years, we have Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC20, Defi and NFT, we mirrored the currency, the head portrait, then we will mapping games, musics, movies and lifes. Why are people willing to pay huge costs to map themselves? Bc we human hopes more times, hopes to control time, hopes to live in the blockchain there no time lost, we want to live forever. Even if our lives can’t last forever now, but our names, images or voice could do it. We are not nobody, we are human beings. Many great people are contributing to this like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Satoshi, etc, products they created bring us into a new world step by step.”
Vis.eth went on the explain that he believes that Yuga Labs, with its Otherside metaverse, could be the next company to take a step forward into a new world .
“Will yuga succeed,” Vis.eth asked in his tweet thread. “I really don’t know, I’m only a investor, I just wanna take the change that create new verse and join it, maybe I will fail, maybe not, but who care? I just enjoy the time we build it together. Life is short, I choose to play, not watch.”
Vis.eth went on to explain why he has purchased 40 Kodas.
““Yuga”, the only one witch can walk, I speculate Yuga will be an independent collection, I guess the first day when otherside open, the first thing we can do is play games, mmorpg games, Yuga will be the leading role in that game. After that, Ape/Punk & other NFT will enter otherside, but they need to finish the 3D works first, so the Yuga owners will be the first players in all otherside. (All above is my guess!!!!!)”
Only time will tell if Yuga Labs builds what Vis.eth believes they can.
