BOTS’ BEST FRIENDS: All 500 HV-MTL Pets Have Been Claimed As Holders Burn Hvs For Companions!

Bots’ best friends have officially minted out!

On Tuesday, all 500 of the HV-MTL project’s new secondary collection, HV-MTL Pets, were claimed and minted by holders who chose to burn their reactivated bots in exchange for a character from the brand’s all new collection.

 

 

At the time of publication, HV-MTL Pets remain unrevealed, and the community is eagerly waiting to meet their furless new frens.

 

As the Gazette previously reported, HV-MTL holders who reactivated their bots earlier this year were given a choice: upgrade their HV to its Evo2 form or exchange it for a Pet, which will serve as the collection’s secondary counterpart, similar to Mutants for Bored Apes or Lil Pudgys for Pudgy Penguins.

"Pets were created to bring real utility to HV-MTLs with 0 PowerScore or with minimal participation in The Forge," HV-MTL Project owner Adam Weitsman tweeted back in October 2025. "We know that many felt they were left behind in the process, which is why Pets arrive as a new opportunity to integrate and grow within the HV-MTL ecosystem. Depending on the number of HV-MTLs you burn, you will be able to obtain anything from a common Pet to a legendary one. With this new collection we aim to: •Include more members of the community. •Give new life and purpose to HV-MTLs with little or no past activity. •Strengthen the sense of belonging by introducing Voltus as the official mascot, supported by multiple unique Pets that reflect the diversity of our community. •The Evo2/Pets collections will be the only ones to receive benefits in upcoming activations or partnerships."

 

As the community waits for more details, NFT trader James07570, who currently holds 53 Pets and more than 250 HV-MTLs, told the Gazette he’s confident in Weitsman and Gabe’s ability to reboot the bots.

 

“First, Adam is a billionaire, which is self explanatory, we won’t have any funding issues,” James said.  “He supports a lot of other projects, and if people want to send some of that goodwill back, they’ll sweep HV-MTL. Then there’s Gabriel. He’s clearly motivated to build and knows exactly how the space works. He’s already implemented multiple burn mechanisms, and that will lead to a supply shock. Over 10% of the supply has already been burned since December. And finally, it’s tied to Yuga through Otherside. If Apes move, Deeds follow, and this includes HV-MTL as well.”

 

Only time will tell how James’ bet will play out, but one thing is clear: Weitsman and Gabe see HV-MTL as a long term legacy play.
