Builders are anything but bored this week after Yuga Labs released its Otherside Development Kit blueprint, which is packed with everything a dev needs to make their metaverse dreams a reality!

From the mechanics of the metaverse to the logic that Otherside is built upon, Yuga Labs dropped a ton of new information for builders who want to bring their ideas to life on Otherside yesterday night!

“Builders, this one’s for you,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account. “ Full breakdown of every node in the ODK Blueprints → https://odk-blueprints.preview.msquared.io/v9.3 We’ve expanded the docs with clear detail on what each node does so you can get building faster.”

“ODK builders wanted more exhaustive documentation on all Otherside Blueprints. Here it is,” Yuga Labs’ Michael Figge tweeted. “Goal is to keep improving enabling dev time to be more efficient.”

Tuesday’s document dump is complete with code for everything from characters to NFT gating. And while it reads like gibberish to this reporter, big brain developers and 3D artists like TropicalVirtual are saying this is huge!

“A detailing and breakdown of every node in the ODK Blueprints. Incredibly powerful for those digging into mechanics and logic for building on Otherside,” he tweeted.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the goal of Otherside is for it to be a platform, not a game, that competes with Roblox. And while there is a “Mainline Otherside” that Yuga Labs builds, there will also be an “ODK Otherside,” where every builder can create whatever they want.

“My longterm vision for Otherside is to have it be the most thriving modding community essentially in crypto… where I want to bring it should be the most fun, easiest, coolest place for builders to come and create a 3D world or experience,” Garga said in March 2025. I think that’s one of the most important things for me when I think about Otherside is it’s not enough to just do the exact same thing and slap crypto rails underneath it. I want to create kinds of experiences and enable my community to make those experiences as well… I want to create scenarios where our users, everyone can build and be rewarded by a protocol that enables people to do things that you can’t do anywhere else in the world.”

Tonight, anyone and everyone is invited to check out the Otherside Development Kit blueprint and start putting their pieces together here: https://odk-blueprints.preview.msquared.io/v9.3

The Gazette is working to find out more about these documents and will bring you a full report with a builder about all things ODK soon. Stay tuned for updates!
