It was an insane day at the Bored Ape Yacht Club as Coinbase announced that it would be making a three-part BAYC inspired film.

Coinbase’s trilogy titled “The Degen Trilogy” is a three-part film featuring BAYC members’ bored apes.
“Enter a ragtag bunch of Degen’s. Each with their own special skills and their own hidden objectives. All chasing the same goal—ApeCoin,” Coinbase said. “The obstacles seem impassible. Success seems impossible. And it’s beginning to feel like certain unseen figures are somehow behind the whole thing. From all across the globe, they’re summoned to Midtown Manhattan where things are becoming more and more chaotic by the second. To succeed, our adrenaline junkies and lone wolves must break from this world and start a new one. Where the imagination only scratches the surface of what’s to come. Because if they don’t make it, we’re not gonna make it. Here begins the era of the Degens.”
Currently, Coinbase is holding an open casting call to all BAYC members to find the best bored apes for their movie.
“Audition your ape for the chance to star in the upcoming film,” Coinbase wrote on the Degen trilogy website. “Make sure your ape’s bio has the “it” factor. A smash hit bio will let our casting director spot you in the crowd.”
While Coinbase did not say what traits or ape characteristics they’re looking for in apes, they did say that the selection process will come down to traits and bios.
“In our quest to cast ape cameos in the trilogy, selection hinges on ape bios and traits,” Coinbase stated in its FAQ section. “We need the right apes for the right moments, and our casting director will consider which apes best fit the film. Apes are not leading acts but do play crucial supporting roles to our five original Degen characters.”
