DOO-KEY SURVIVAL GUIDE:The Bored Ape Yacht Club Released A New Video On How To Survive In The Sewers
As the NFT community enters its nineth day of Doo-Key dashing, the Bored Ape Yacht Club shared more some tips and tricks on how to survive in the sewers!
20,057 unique Sewer Pass holders have dashed 4,507,400+ times in the sewers underneath the BAYC.
As the community continues to achieve higher and higher scores, the BAYC released a new video today that highlighted ways for Doo-Key Dashers to stay alive longer in the gutter.
“Looking for ways to improve your top score in #DookeyDash,” the BAYC tweeted along with a two-minute video. “Here are some essential tips to help you survive in the sewer.”
Take a look at the club’s tips& tricks below:
1: LOOK ADEAD
“Look as far ahead as possible and stay on the edges of the sewer. Being able to react in time to an obstacle depends on how early you can spot it, especially as you get deeper into the sewer and trash really starts piling up. Your character can also block you from seeing what’s coming. So stick to the edges of the screen so you can plan ahead. Figure out when you can slip past obstacles without needing to dash through them and avoid bonking into larger objects that will throw you off your path.
2: MOUSE SETTINGS
“Experiment with your mouse settings. Try changing your mouse sensitivity settings to be higher than what you’re used to. Being able to quickly move your character from one side of the screen to the other will be crucial to surviving the deeper you go. Once you’ve gotten used to the new settings, keep practicing your movement until it’s smooth and precise.
3: STAY CALM
Keep calm under pressure and take breaks. Don’t get tilted. It’s easy to get frustrated or worked up. Remember, you can play an unlimited number of times until February 8th. So, take it easy on yourself. It’s all just practice.
4: USE POWERSHARTS WISELY
“Use your Powershart packs wisely. Don’t let your guard down just because you have a boost. Do your best to keep your focus and reflexes razor sharp. If you’re going for a high score, make sure it’s after you fully warmed up and have no distractions in the way. Once you buy or stack the Powershart packs, the real-time timer begins.”
Today’s survival guide video is the second Doo-Key Do’s and Don’ts video that the BAYC has shared this week.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC shared a video on how to get a higher Doo-Key Dash score on Wednesday.
Take a look at the four tips the BAYC shared in its first video below:
1: DASH EARLIER AND USE YOUR FULL RANGE
“Your dash lasts for a small amount of time before you slow down and can no longer break through obstacles. Try dashing earlier than you normally would the next time you’re in front of a wall and give yourself a better chance to react if there’s something right behind it.”
2: RESET YOUR DASH
“If you use your dash to break through some wooden boards or knock a large object out of the way the cooldown is instantly reset. You can dash again immediately.”
3: DASH FOR POINTS
“Not only will dashing through a large object reset your cooldown, you’ll also earn points for doing so. While it’s not much, every point counts when you’re going for a high score, especially in the early game when the sewers aren’t as clogged.”
4: REDUCE YOUR COOLDOWN WITH A POWERSHART PACK
“Your dash has a three second cooldown if it doesn’t get reset, which can spell disaster later in the run. You can cut that cooldown in half by buying a Powershart Pack with ApeCoin. It’s one of three unique boosts you get when you purchase it.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Doo-Key dash and will let you know more tips and tricks from skilled players later this weekend. Stay tuned for updates!
