Crypto may be cooling off, but down in the Lone Star State, Bored Ape Yacht Club vibes and grills were heating up as a troop of Texas Apes got together for Korean BBQ!

On Saturday, ApeChain’s Head of Product Ryan Smith, prolific Otherside builder TropicalVirtual, and a bunch of frens from around the swamp gathered at a local Korean BBQ spot, where they grilled, sipped sake, and turned online connections into real life bonds, all thanks to the best club on the internet.

“IRL & good conversations are everything,” Smith tweeted. “So refreshed & excited for the future of our space & community. TX apes delivered it all last night.”

Fellow BAYC member and meetup attendee TropicalVirtual couldn’t agree more, tweeting that it was all love at the table that night.

“Some beer, some sake, some KBBQ and a whole lot of love to go around. The @BoredApeYCdoes it best. So glad I came out”

This Texas meetup was the second Bored Ape get-together across the United States this week.

As the Gazette previously reported, 30 Big Apple Apes gathered at fellow primate and Re_Generates co-founder Jed’s DeStefano’s Steakhouse on Wednesday.

Looking ahead, the BAYC plans to sponsor more than 25 meetups around the globe in the coming weeks. So wherever you may ape, keep your eyes peeled for a get together and find your frens around the swamp.

The Gazette will continue to follow all the in person meetups happening around the world over the next few weeks, because IRL has been and always will be the alpha. Stay tuned for updates!
