FROM RUINS TO ROAM: Daniel Arsham’s Voyagers Will Officially Come To Life On Otherside Tomorrow Morning!

From ruins to roam!

On Wednesday, Daniel Arsham’s Voyagers will officially come to life on Otherside as the collection’s 300 access pass holders return to the metaverse for a first of its kind minting experience that blends fine art and Web3 culture like never before.

 

“It's almost time,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account. “The Arsham Voyager drop opens tomorrow at 11AM ET in Otherside. Access pass holders have 48 hours to secure their Voyager inside Starfield Gallery. Remaining supply goes public May 8 at 12PM ET. Three types. Blind box. Your draw is revealed on the spot.”

 

 

As the Gazette previously reported, the Daniel Arsham x Otherside drop is historic. Unlike most NFT mints throughout history, which typically take place on sketchy Web2 websites, this experience is happening entirely inside the Otherside metaverse itself.

Participants were first able to collect raffle tickets as NFTs, with Yuga Labs holders and active Otherside players receiving better odds.

Now, those who secured an allowlist spot over the weekend will get the chance to mint their Voyagers the exact same way inside the metaverse, marking a full circle moment that would have sounded like a pipe dream back in 2021.

“Ready to begin a new adventure,” BAYC member and Arsham Access Pass Holder Law tweeted.

 

 

While the Arsham Voyager collection is small, with just 300 total pieces, some bots are rarer than others. Upon minting their Bot for $200 USD tomorrow, holders will receive either an Alabaster Common, a Carbon Rare, or a Verdigris Ultra Rare Voyager.

“Each type carries the material language of Arsham's physical practice, not cosmetic differences but the continuation of a two-decade artistic investigation into what materials look like when time acts on them,” Yuga Labs prevously wrote.

 

But minting these NFTs is just the beginning.

Once they arrive on Otherside, each Arsham Voyager will enter a perpetual system of change where holder decisions and in world quests will determine what happens to the bots over time.

“Every Arsham Voyager starts at its default Form stage. From there, four stages are possible: Fracture, Erosion, Ruin, and Rebirth. The stages are unlocked through in-world quests that will become available in the weeks following the drop. Your Voyager carries a Kodacam. Use it to decode hidden messages throughout Otherside. Each message unlocks the next stage. Rebirth brings it back, not restored but changed.”

 

Along with these ever changing NFTs, minters tomorrow will also receive signed physical copies of Arsham’s new book.

“Every Arsham Voyager purchase also includes a signed limited edition copy of Daniel Arsham's new book, Future Relic: Failures, Disasters, Detours, and How I Made a Career as an Artist, a document of over two decades of Fictional Archaeology. The physical companion to a digital collection, a one-time redemption after you claim your Voyager.”
