FROM SILVER PENDANTS TO GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES: Del Mundos Launch 3ditions And Clim3ta Tomorrow To Fund Real World Impact!

The Del Mundos are gearing up to bring the people powered positivity they want to see in the world to life with their first ever merch drop, one where proceeds will go toward protecting the natural world, as voted on by the community.

On Tuesday, the Del Mundos will auction off 100 “3” silver chains inspired by their mascot Ray Del Mundo’s iconic JewelleRay chain. Each piece is made from melted down, upcycled silver spoons and will be available through the project’s new 3ditions website.

 

90 of these chains will go to the highest bidders at the end of the 24 hour auction, while another 10 will be randomly awarded to participants who place a bid.

 

 

“We always wanted to create a unique focal point for our community,” the project tweeted. “Something that would offer opportunities unavailable anywhere else. Something fresh that is built on the NFT ethos of creativity and ownership that is designed to surprise and delight. But 3ditions isn’t just a new way to auction exclusive items, it’s the beginning of a larger flywheel aimed at making a real world impact.

90% of the proceeds from this drop, and all future 3ditions sales, will go toward the Del Mundos’ new Clim3ta platform, which is designed to protect the natural world while giving holders a vote in how those funds are used.

“The protocol is designed to channel the energy, culture and capital of the digital universe toward protecting the ecosystems that sustain life on Earth,” the project tweeted. “We have designed a system that is built to amplify peoples’ power in the mission to protect the natural world and to re-connect them with nature through a lens of creativity, and inspiration. Participating community members get to control a % of the overall treasury using their vote - a treasury that will not only be funded by Editions sales, but also by contributions from our brand partners. CLIMETA participation is voluntary, but it's worth noting that we will be rewarding participating community members for their engagement and decision making - driving value back to Del Mundo holders. The timeline for the first CLIMETA vote will be announced following the charity onboarding process.”

 

 

While the mechanics may sound complex, the Del Mundos summed it up simply: 3ditions and Clim3ta are about giving art, access, power, and value back to holders, while making a difference both onchain and off.

Tomorrow’s auction kicks off Tuesday, March 24, at 11 a.m. EST and will run until Wednesday, March 25, at 11 a.m. EST.
