GANG MOVES: Gutter Cat Gang’s New Owner Doggtor Looks To Bring The Gutter Back To Glory In 2026!

As the old saying goes, cats have nine lives, and now, so does the Gutter.
2026 kicked off with a new leader at the helm of the Gutter Cat Gang after longtime NFT collector and gang gang member, Doggtor, took over the project, promising a new era that began with simply asking Cats, Rats, Pigeons, and Dogs what they want to see.
"Taking over the Gutter wasn't just a business decision for me; it was a commitment to one of the most resilient, authentic and gutter communities in this space,” Doggtor told the Gazette. “The history of the Gutter Cat Gang is legendary, and my goal is to ensure its future matches that legacy. We aren't just building a project; we’re honoring the belief our holders have shown for years by finally giving them the dedicated development and transparency they deserve."
Since becoming the top cat, Doggtor said that he and his new team have brought every Cat’s 3D model into Otherside, launched a project called Gutter Cat Legends Ordinals, and recently migrated the project’s original contract, which is something he says cleans up the ecosystem.
“The Gutter Cats now live in their own dedicated contract, giving the flagship collection the exclusivity and focus it always deserved," he said. "At the same time, the original companion collections (Gutter Pigeons, Rats, and Dogs)have been merged into a single upgraded contract now known as Gutter Gang. This simplifies the ecosystem, reduces the number of Ethereum contracts, and creates a much cleaner structure for long-term development.”
