GIVING BAYC: Captain Trippy Donated The Proceeds From Yuga Labs' Otherside Poker Night To ByAutistic To Help Specially Abled Kids!

Bored Ape Yacht Club member Captain Trippy may have had the nuts at Yuga Labs’ inaugural Otherside Poker night last month, but the real jackpot is the $45,000 USD going to a Made By Apes cause that supports specially abled kids!

While the cards were dealt last month, the impact is just beginning to unfold. On Wednesday, Yuga Labs announced it had donated the full $45,000 USD from its Otherside Poker night via the Giving Block to Orange Feather and ByAutistic on behlaf of Captain Trippy!

"Voyagers, For winning Otherside Poker night, @CapetainTrippy  has selected to donate the pledge of $45,000 to Orange Feather, whose partnering with @ByAutistic  to utilize these funds," the company tweeted.

“Orange Feather Education Foundation (OFEF) provides charitable support to nonprofit organizations throughout Ghana whose programs support education and youth development, beginning with Orange Feather School,” Yuga Labs continued. “Founded by Ape holder @ctballer_,@ByAutistic is an NFT collection featuring art by specially abled African kids to raise funds for neurodiversity in Africa. The project fights the stigma that sees special needs as a curse, which tragically leads to the harm or death of children. It supports building schools, sustainable businesses for special needs families, educational scholarships, infrastructure in underserved communities, awareness campaigns, and access to free and subsidized medical care.”

“THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support this,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted this evening. “What a fun night. Kudos to @CapetainTrippy for picking a great cause.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, David has been uniting the Yugaverse and the broader Web3 space to assist Ghanaian children with special needs since 2022.

“Every child deserves love, support, and a chance to thrive,” David told the Gazette earlier this year. “We refuse to stand by while children with autism are abandoned by their parents. Our goal is to destigmatize autism, empower families, and create a more inclusive society where every child is valued.”

Apes, Meebs, Voyagers, and Web3 enthusiasts interested in making a donation to ByAutistic via the Giving Block can do so here: https://fundraiser.thegivingblock.com/OthersideCharityPokerEvent/

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow ByAutistic and will keep you updated on their efforts to help specially abled kids! Stay tuned for updates!
