GO TELEGRAM IT ON THE MOUNTAIN: The Bored Ape Yacht Club Joined The Ton Ecosystem By Opening A Telegram Chat And You Are Invited To Ape In!

Go Telegram it on the mountain! The Bored Ape Yacht Club officially opened its Telegram chat today, and everyone’s invited to ape in!

Things were anything but boring around the swamp on Friday after the best club on the internet joined the TON blockchain by launching its official BAYC Telegram channel.

 

 

This move isn’t just about a new chat channel for Apes and the broader Web3 community. It also marks BAYC’s entrance into the TON blockchain ecosystem, which has been getting a ton of attention lately thanks to its sticker-gift NFT collections that are onboarding millions of users to crypto, without them even realizing it!

“Stoked to open up the official BAYC telegram channel,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted after the announcement. “Been a big admirer of TON with their focus on privacy and getting everyday users onchain if you're an ape, get in here. and if you're a friend or just curious about what we get into in the club - this space is for you too.”

 

ince opening the channel Friday morning, over 8,800 Apes and frens have already aped in. The Club has also put together an extensive NFT sticker collection that’s complete with the chain’s CryptoPunks equivalent, a Plushe Pepe, and six cigar stickers!

 

 

For now, the BAYC Telegram is an announcements-only channel. But Garga teased that there is more to come. “Channel is announcements-only for now, but will be opening it up more as we get cooking on TG,” he wrote.

 

As the community waits to see what the BAYC Telegram channel brings to the swamp, many are wondering whether Yuga Labs will launch its own TON native sticker NFT collection that Apes and others can collect.

 

While nothing official has been announced yet, we do know the ApeCoin DAO sponsored Ape Accelerator dropped a set of BAYC IP based stickers on Notcoin back in December 2024.

 

We’ve also seen NFT brands like Chimpers and Azuki successfully launch Telegram sticker collections. In fact, Azuki’s sticker packs had 112,000 collectors try to purchase a pack just today, according to Stickers TG.
