When a quarterback wins the Super Bowl, they go to Disney World. And when a degen wins it all in Spoiled Bananas Society’s onchain fantasy football, they join the best club on the internet.

Next week, the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will battle it out in Super Bowl LX. But before a champion is crowned, one degen named Willis has already etched his name into blockchain history, winning Spoiled Banana Society’s third annual Fantasy Banana Best Ball tournament and the 8.139 ETH grand prize.
“I love playing fantasy football and this was my first year playing in the SBS Fantasy Banana Best Ball Tournament,” Willis said. “While doing a lot of drafting on other platforms this summer I heard about SBS and decided to do a handful of drafts with the last ETH I had in my wallet. I actually tweeted about my winner lineup back and June and coincidentally one of the SBS creator’s liked it and joked that he would send me the winnings now! Little did we know 6 months later that it would beat out 12,000 other teams and win the finals on the back of ATL RB1 aka Bijan Robinson.”
From scraping together his last bit of Eth to drafting a season winning lineup, Willis went on a Sam Darnold-esque run, counted out early, then rising all the way to the top.

With his winnings, Willis didn’t go to Disney World. Instead, he went to the swamp, purchasing BAYC #5314, a six trait golden brown fur primate rocking a tie dye shirt, cowboy hat, and bloodshot eyes.

“Joining BAYC it just felt right that winning a tournament run by apes that I ape into the club with the winnings,” he said. “I’ve been in the NFT space since ‘21 with my start in nba top shot. I remember people pivoting into BAYC when it minted and I thought pfps would never catch on and I muted BAYC until later that summer. Then fomo’d into the space with Lazy Lions and other projects. But I’ve always regretted that mute button decision and finally had the opportunity to join the club and right that wrong!”
