HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Two Years Ago today, The BAYC's Contract Was Created!

The sun was out, and the vibes were high around the Bored Ape Yacht Club on Saturday as the typically bored apes celebrated the two-year anniversary of the BAYC’s contract creation.

On this day two years ago, April 22, 2021, the BAYC’s four founders, Gordon Goner, Garga, Tomato, and Sass launched the BAYC’s smart contract.

Since the contracts launch, things have been anything but boring around the swamp.

Over the last two years, BAYC members were given Bored Ape Kennel Club Dogs, Mutant Apes launched, the club threw two Ape Fest events, ApeCoin was created, Yuga Labs acquired CryptoPunks, Meebits and 10KTF, the Otherside debuted, and lifelong friendships were made!

"Happy 2nd Birthday to the @BoredApeYC,” BAYC member TrippyLasers tweeted. “In exactly 12 hours from now (7:13 PM EST), the first 30 bored apes were minted together in block 12292922. I love being on this journey with you all, and I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us.”
