'TIS THE SEASON FOR AN UPDATE: Yuga Labs’ Michael Figge Teases Otherside’s December Update Is Coming This Week!

‘Tis the season for an Otherside update!

On Tuesday, Yuga Labs’ Michael Figge teased that something is brewing around the swamp and that an Otherside update is coming this holiday season.

 

“gm @OthersideMeta december update coming online later this week,” he tweeted.

 

 

As of now, we don’t know exactly what Figge and the team plan to roll out later this week, but we do know that Yuga Labs has been hinting at a winter release all year, and this could be it!

“We're focused on two releases this year,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga said back in February. “June release for persistent world with all the things I've been talking about (main islands online, transacting on ApeChain, fun social features like Bubbles, Poker, etc, and ODK games like Bathroom Blitz) and a Winter release focused on Otherdeeds with a fast follow for resources starting to be emitted.”

 

 

Along with Garga’s past comments about an Otherdeed focused winter release, Figge also discussed a future where Otherdeed holders can create user generated content on their plots of land atop crypto rails with the Metaverse’s Otherside Development Kit.

“We’re building so other people can bring their stuff in,” he said on stage during his keynote speech. “We provide the tools and infastructure. You, bring your imagination… This is a big opportunity. We believe user generated experiences on Otherside could have the potential that could soon compete with UGC incumbents like Roblox and Minecraft.”
