HEADS UP: The BAYC Pushes Back Its Members Only Telegram Sticker Drop, Giving Apes And Mutants More Time To Ape In!

The Bored Ape Yacht Club has pushed back its upcoming members only Telegram sticker drop to Thursday, giving Apes and Mutants more time to set up their accounts and ape into Telegram!

“Ape Edition sticker pack now drops Thursday, Oct 16th,” the club tweeted this morning. “We’re giving everyone a bit more time to qualify. Cutoff is Oct 15th, 11:59pm ET.”

 

In order to participate in this Thursday’s sticker drop, BAYC and MAYC holders will need to first join the club’s new members only Telegram channel, second register for the Telegram Sticker Bot, and third set up their Telegram TON wallets, according to the BAYC.

 

 

Take a closer look at how you can get ready for this Thursday’s Telegram sticker drop below:

 

First, Apes need to verify their Apes and join the club’s members only Telegram. You can join it here:: https://t.me/OfficialBAYC/127

 

 

Once on Telegram, Apes will be directed to The Dock, where they’ll be prompted to join The Hangout and verify their Ape via Telegram’s token gated Hubz app.

 

 

Note, Hubz recognizes delegated wallets, so you don’t need to connect the wallet that holds your Ape. For more information on safely joining this group, check out BAYC member and Boring Security contributor Drew’s thread below.

 

 

Once in the club’s channel, you’ll need to register for Wednesday’s drop via Sticker TG. To do this, go to today’s announcement in the main Telegram channel, click the “@sticker_Bot” username, and open the store and look around.

 

 

 

Finally, make sure to set up a TON Wallet inside your Telegram app. To do this, go to Settings and Wallet, then select either Add New or Existing Wallet, and then either buy some of Telegram’s native token $TON for the sticker drop or send yourself some coins.

 

While all this might seem like a lot, Garga said it’s the only way to ensure that only Apes are able to ape into this activation. He also reminded everyone again to use Collab Land and never connect their cold wallets holding their primates to anything!

"The way this has been done by other projects on TG is super easy to get around unfortunately,” he wrote. “People just ain’t been that motivated to do it before. If we do it the old way, will be botted and ruins a lot of the appeal of this being ape-only. As usual, we have to invent new ways of doing things because people want to participate in our activations much more than what’s come before. Shout out to collab land who are being incredible partners so we can do this right.”
