From the very first days of the Bored Ape Yacht Club to now, real life has always been the alpha!

Yesterday, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club members KrayTrain and Josh Ong brought around 30 Big Apple Apes together at fellow primate and Re_Generates co-founder Jed’s DeStefano’s Steakhouse in Brooklyn, where steaks were cooked just right, Ojulo tequila (bought by ApeCoin CEO Cameron Kates and made by Adam Weitsman) flowed, and early BAYC vibes, the kind that brought people to the swamp back in 2021, were on full display!

“it was amazing,” JCS said during today’s Meet At The Club house meeting. “it was an intimate event, we sat down, we ate, we laughed, it was great!”

After the dinner, Apes in attendance took to the timeline, reinvigorated about Web3 and NFTs, reminding everyone that the real value prop, something that can’t be charted or replaced by AI, is the human connections that come with holding an Ape.

“Huge shout out to @KrayTrain for putting together a banger dinner at  @jed_131 steakhouse for the apes tonight,” Mr. EdwardNYC tweeted.  “My first Ape event and it was awesome meeting everyone in the NY community. So many welcoming people proving that there ARE good people in this space.”

The first recorded meeting of BAYC members took place on July 21, 2021, at the Bright Moments NFT Gallery and Townhouse Bar in Venice, California, hosted by Ong.

That first get together proved, even before the hype, ApeChain, and Otherside, that the original value proposition was simple, camaraderie and a global network of frens.

“This is what made early-BAYC vibes immaculate,” longtime Ape JBond tweeted. “IRL meet-ups organized by passionate club members Dinners not planted. Organizers not paid. They just do it because they want to It turned to more meet ups. Then it became local clubs 4+ yrs later, bored apes are still doing it.”

Following last night’s get together in New York, the BAYC took to the timeline to celebrate Apes linking up offline and even announced that the first round will be on them.

“From HK to NYC to wherever you are, The Club shows up,” the BAYC tweeted. “We see Apes linking up everywhere around the world. First round’s on Us. Find your people.”

Tonight, Yuga Labs’ PP Man said the club is supporting at least 25 meetups around the world over the next few weeks, with more details to be shared as they become available.

“It’s a great opportunity to hangout with fellow Apes,” he said.

The Gazette is working to learn more about these regional get togethers and will bring you the details on when and where you can link up, because IRL has been and always will be the alpha. Stay tuned for updates!
