“I felt semi-bored," J1mmy said in an interview with the Bored Ape Gazette. “I was only semi-bored because I was in BAYC discord and someone posted a 42 eth sale went through in general chat. "i ape you ape we ape" - is what went thru my head. then I yawned. I had just got out of a ton of meetings. “
While J1mmy was still semi-bored, many Bored Apes in the BAYC were quite excited to see another big sale.
“Apes are here to stay,” @ape2849 tweeted in response to the six figure sale.
The Bored Ape that Jimmy sold was Bored Ape #2087. Bored Ape #2087 is four trait ape with trippy fur and a cigarette in his mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #2087 is the 9th rarest Bored Ape, according to Rarity Tools.
J1mmy told the Gazette that he knew the BAYC was going to be big the moment he saw the apes.
“The moment I laid eyes on them,” J1mmy said. “I don't give a f**k about the perks outside of the commercial rights to the art. These things slap as personal profile pictures.”
J1mmy’s current Twitter profile picture is Bored ape #8824. Bored Ape #8824 is a six trait solid gold fur ape in a space suit, which is fitting because J1mmy believes apes will continue to moon.
