This Web-3 venture studio project did some sweeping around the Bored Ape Yacht club earlier today and may be raffling off the primates to its holders.
It was a busy Sunday around the swamp as Memeland, a Web-3 Venture Studio that aims to bring ownership to every community in the world, got some early spring cleaning in and aped into eight Bored Apes.
In total, Memeland spent 796.86 Eth or $1,304,000 USD on the eight nautical themed primates, according to Etherscan data.
Following the sweep, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Memeland via DM for comment but did not immediately hear back.
While the Gazette did not hear back from the project, notable crypto investor, Cirrus, shared a screenshot from the Memeland Discord that stated that the apes will be raffled off.
“Captainz will raffle BAYC,” Aym said in a Discord post.
Following Cirrus' post, several Memeland holders took to Twitter and shared their thoughts on the upcoming raffle.
