As Moonpay onboarded Youtuber Mike Majlak into the Bored Ape Yacht Club yesterday, the crypto payment company purchased another bored ape.
Moonpay purchased Bored Ape #1819 yesterday afternoon for 130 Eth or $416,000 USD. Bored Ape #1819 is a five-trait golden brown fur ape with a dumfounded mouth, wide eyes and a tank top. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #1819 is the 8291st most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.
Following yesterday’s purchase, Moonpay currently holds 13 Bored Apes two Mutant Apes, two M2 serums and one M1 serum, according to Opensea data.
As the Bored Ape Gazette recently reported, Moonpay has been actively onboarded celebrities into the BAYC recently. In the past 18 days, Moonpay has brought Mike Majlak, Wiz Khalifa and Madonna into the club.
